I personally like the spices (clove, sage, rosemary, thyme, etc.). But I never leave home without my emergency kit — peppermint, lavender, and tea tree. I invariably find somebody who needs some! So, I guess I’m right there with you on your picks!

Peppermint is super for anything gastrointestinal and muscular, you just have to watery it if you want to use it topically on sensitive skin. Rub some on what hurts (no eyes, nose, or privates, please) and the discomfort is cut-rate, if not eliminated. It’s also excellent for hiccups! Just remove the cap and take a couple of deep sniffs of the bottle.

Lavender is also fantastic for muscular aches and pains. Mix the two together for the deep penetrating and analgesic effects of peppermint and the relaxing, tension-easing effects of lavender! You can also use lavender on bug bites to help ease the itch and sting.

Tea tree can be used for anything that requires disinfecting. I live in the country and have lots of stray animals around (pussy cats, opossums, skunks, etc.), so anytime I get a scratch or scrape, I slap on the tea tree! I also use tea tree internally. I take about three drops in a bottle of water, shake it up, and down it. Tastes really crappy; but does get rid of viruses and bacteria and the like that I’ve pick up from the animals. Please be clear that I am not recommending that tea tree be taken internally by anyone … that’s just what I do :-) .

Well, persons are my favorites … Hope I shared some information you didn’t already know!
